Preparation of the ghosts
The time has come for you to face the terrible challenge of preparing some delicious ghosts. It’s actually quite simple, especially if you follow our recipe.
- First of all, take some aluminum foil and make a ball out of it, trying to make the ball bigger on the bottom than on the top . Try not to make them too big, or you might have trouble removing them from the ghosts later.
- Cover the baking tray with parchment paper and distribute, leaving a little distance, the aluminum foil balls that you have made . On each ball you are going to take a wafer , covering it on top and with your fingers you are going to give it the shape of a ghost.
- Once you have assembled all the bodies of the ghosts, put them in the oven at 200º for about 15-20 minutes, so that they brown a little . When ready, take out and let cool.
- Since it will take a few minutes to be ready, it is best that you prepare the filling. Know that our filling is just one of the many that you can do. Put the Philadelphia cheese, the chopped dates, the chopped almonds, the cooked ham cut into strips, the salt, the pepper and the Provencal herbs in a bowl . Beat everything until you achieve a single homogeneous mixture.
- The little ghosts will already be cold, so carefully remove the aluminum foil from inside, and fill with the pasta you have prepared . Put them on a surface covered with parchment paper, so that they do not stick together, trying not to stick out too much.
- Next, using a few drops of ketchup, barbecue sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce or mayonnaise, you paint their eyes… and your ghosts are ready!
Do you ask us about other fillings that you can use? It all depends on your taste and that of your guests. But it could be filled with a salad, a scrambled egg with fried tomato, a little pasta, the same filling as the empanadas… the possibilities are endless! We have only given you a small idea.
