Eye candy preparation
As a recipe, it has no mystery. It can be made easily with a donut hole, but by making the bun from scratch, you will get it to have an ideal flavor for children.
- After turning on the oven at 180ยบ C , you are going to separate some ingredients into two bowls. In one you pour the butter at room temperature, and in others you sift the flour until it is completely filled.
- In the butter bowl, add the white sugar while beating until you get a creamy white mixture. In this mixture you add the egg , and beat again until it is well integrated. Finally , the two tablespoons of milk and beat again.
- On the other hand, in the flour bowl you are going to make a hole in the center, add the cocoa powder and the yeast . Stir well to integrate into the flour.
- Pour said mixture into the butter container , beating non-stop, until the entire mixture results in a pasty mixture.
- You are going to distribute this mixture in some molds that are in the shape of a semicircle , and that are not too large. Distribute the portions, cleaning the edges well with the spoons, and put them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes , until the buns are well done (you will know if when you poke them with the stick they come out clean).
- When removing the buns, unmold and let rest for about 10-15 minutes . Meanwhile, you can melt the white chocolate, with a little butter if you want, in the saucepan or in the microwave.
- With the buns ready, it’s time to assemble. So cover half of the buns with dulce de leche, glue to another bun and poke with a long stick . Dip the bun into the white chocolate and let it rest on a plate. Repeat the process until all the buns are covered (filled with nocilla and dulce de leche so there is variety) and put them on the same plate.
- After time, they should have the white chocolate well adhered to the cake, so paint the drawing in red of what the veins would be over the eye and place a chocolate chip to act as an iris… and that’s it! Your sweet eyes are ready to terrify the neighborhood!
